For landowners
Earn from your trees without cutting them down.
Do the maths
A living forest is a forest that pays
A real example: a 654 m² plot with 19 eucalyptus trees was sold for timber at €50 per tree. €950, once, and bare land for years.
With Buxo those 19 trees issue 19 Buxos that companies buy to offset their CO₂. You get paid, the trees keep growing and your forest gains value.
- Income without logging
- The forest keeps growing
- Ownership intact: it is still yours
- A cared-for forest burns less
- Buxos it would issue
- 400
- CO₂ absorbed per year
- 66.8 t
- Equal to the footprint of
- 10 people
Indicative estimate using an average of 167 kg of CO₂ per tree per year and 7 t per person per year. Each Buxo will use the real data of its own tree.
Your forest
Every species counts (and counts differently)
Not all trees absorb the same: species, age, size, climate and soil all play a part. Mixed forests absorb more, and native trees live longer. That's why each Buxo carries its own tree's data.

Oak
Quercus robur
Grows slowly, but lives for centuries and keeps absorbing CO₂ all its life. The king of the native Galician forest.

Chestnut
Castanea sativa
Chestnut groves are both landscape and culture. Long-lived trees that also bear fruit: ecological and economic value at once.

Pine
Pinus pinaster
Grows about 50 cm a year, more slowly than eucalyptus, but a mature pine stores a lot of carbon. Ideal for long-term forests.

Eucalyptus
Eucalyptus globulus
Grows very fast, about 2 m a year, and reaches felling height in 16–20 years. With Buxo it can stay standing instead of ending up as paper.
Getting started
From forgotten forest to valuable forest
- 01
Tell us about your forest
Location, area and species. With that we estimate how many Buxos it could issue.
- 02
On-site inventory
We visit the forest, count and geolocate every tree and check the ownership.
- 03
Your Buxos are issued
Your verified trees become Buxos registered on the blockchain in your name.
- 04
Earn while they stand
When companies buy your Buxos, the money is yours. So is the forest.

Do you own a forest in Galicia?
